This basic quick-list can help you understand how you are using boundaries in your relationships. Boundaries direct your behavior and not the behavior of others. We use them to keep us oriented to our self-awareness, needs, wants, and power. We do not use them to change others.
Healthy people will respond to and respect your boundaries. Unhealthy people will push past them.
Use this list by asking yourself, “Am I doing these things with my boundaries?” and see what you learn.
